Strong Style Productions presents...
Quick Shootin' with Allison Danger

Description: Let me tell you a couple of the reasons why I like Allison Danger. She's Canadian, and I'm Canadian too. She's cool, and I'm sorta cool. She's pretty, and I like pretty girls. She's an awesome wrestler, and I respect awesome wrestlers. She respects professional wrestling as an art form, and I respect that she does. And she is Steve Corino's sister, and I'm a mark for Steve Corino!

Okay before this turns into a love letter, I'm going to tell you all about this new 2-disc DVD release that was sent to me by Rob O'Brien at Strong Style Productions. The interview was shot in Dublin, Ireland on 1/19 and 1/20, and the moderator had an Irish accent.

Allison Danger opens up and gives viewers her thoughts on many topics, such as sexual harassment in pro-wrestling, the current crop of WWE Divas, if she would accept a WWE or TNA contract, who she wants to wrestle at a WrestleMania, hilarious answer to the question "who do you wanna wrestle (dead or alive)?", her exit strategy from pro-wrestling, experiences with veteran wrestlers, who WWE should take and who WWE dropped the ball with, favorite opponents, thoughts on Sara Del Rey, her long inventory of injuries, opinions on websites that offer custom matches, and a whole lot more. There is an long exciting game of name association with pretty much every member of the SHIMMER roster, then most of the WWE Divas (past and present) and TNA Knockouts, followed by some random independent girl wrestlers, and finally a variety of male wrestlers across the globe.

One of the highlights of the video featured Allison Danger providing an amazing road story involving former ROH star and current WWE star, C.M. Punk, which will have you laughing out loud. There is a lot of cheesy non-wrestling questions but full of candid answers from one of the best and nicest female professional wrestlers, Allison Danger.

STEVE ROCKAMANIAC REVIEWS....
QUICK SHOOTING WITH ALLISON DANGER

Strong Style Productions is the latest company to form and dive in to the wrestling DVD market. Their first release is Quick Shooting With Allison Danger , Which is a 2 disc, nearly 4 hour sit down shoot interview that is anything but Quick but rather intriguing at the same time.

For the non-mainstream fans reading this review, you might be asking who is Allison Danger and what makes her qualified to speak on the world of pro wrestling for nearly 4 hours? Well Allison Danger is one of the most talented and powerful female wrestlers out there today that is not under the WWE or TNA umbrella. Danger, alongside Dave Prazak run Shimmer Women Athletes, which is a all female independent wrestling company that has helped almost all of TNAs and some of WWEs female rosters rise to new levels in the world of professional wrestling. Danger has also been a regular in Ring Of Honour for years having best been known for managing Christopher Daniels in that promotion, And for those who still dont know who she might be, perhaps her real name would help, that being Cathy Corino, which makes her the younger sister of former ECW star The King Of Old School Steve Corino, so to say the least her 8 years in and around the business has permitted her to see and experience a hell of a lot, and she gets a chance to take the knowledge she has gained and give her opinion on the wrestling business in this DVD.

Presented in a widescreen format, Quick Shooting With Allison Danger is visually impressive, it transitions flawlessly between topics, and generally the audio is very clear, although since it was recorded on different days and Danger wears different outfits, there is one period where the sound suffers, but getting to the actual content of the DVD, This is not your cookie cutter shoot interview, where you start from the persons childhood and go through every aspect of someones career. Instead Danger is asked her opinions on a variety of topics including her thoughts on working for WWE or TNA, being a woman on either roster, her actual thoughts on every single woman on those rosters, bra and panties matches, women who take part in custom wrestling video shoots and what she thinks young girls who are looking to break into the business need to do. Danger also answers some more personal questions such as her experiences with promoters, whether she would sign on with the WWE or TNA, who in the wrestling world she has had a crush on since she was young girl and what she plans to do once her time is up in the business.

I must say that once you watch this DVD youll probably be surprised how smart to the business this woman really is, she has seen and lived through so much in the business that she has some uber interesting things to say. Can it sustain your attention for nearly 4 hours? That depends on what type of fan you are, if you only watch WWE, or TNA, or have never seen Shimmer, then there is a chunk of the DVD that will drag for you, Personally I have followed all 3, and thus knew everyone and everything she was speaking of making it highly appealing to me and time flew when watching it, so if youre a fan of at least the two major feds, and or a Indy fan who follows Shimmer, ROH and the circuit that those stars follow then this DVD can be just as appealing to you.

Quick Shooting With Allison Danger is now available on DVD from Strong Style Productions. For more information you can check out the companys website at www.strongstyleproductions.com and to read my previous DVD reviews check out www.maineventradio.com/reviews.htm

RADICAN'S TAKE
WEEKEND DVD SPOTLIGHT: Quick Shootin' w/ Allison Danger
By Sean Radican, PWTorch Columnist

StrongStyleProductions.com (SSP) enters the shoot interview market with their first release "Quick Shootin' With Allison Danger. The tradition RF Video style of interview isn't followed here, as Danger is asked about her opinions on a variety of people in the business.

Danger has encountered a lot of personalities, as she's wrestled all over the world and can be considered a modern day veteran of women's wrestling given her longevity on the independent scene, including a long stint in ROH. Although she's never been under contract to a major wrestling promotion, Danger has been a huge influence given her involvement in the Shimmer promotion with Dave Prazak, which has been a major breeding ground for female talent in WWE and TNA during the last 2 years.

Since SSP is going to be releasing a documentary on Danger in the near future, this release is a companion piece of sorts, as Danger's wrestling career is discussed in-depth in the documentary. That's not to say she doesn't tell some funny stories related to her time in the business on this release, as she tells some very funny stories.

Danger is asked a series of questions in a semi-chronological order about female wrestlers, TNA wrestlers, WWE wrestlers, and various foreign and independent workers as well. Before Danger gets into her thoughts on the various wrestling personalities she's encountered during her time in the business, she discusses whether she would rather wrestle in TNA or WWE if either company offered her a contract. I enjoyed her answer, but given TNA's increasing house show and international schedule, it's a safe bet that the amount of dates each wrestler works for TNA and WWE are becoming more similar, which wasn't the case when this interview was filmed back in January.

Danger comes across well, as she didn't seem to have anything bad to say about anyone in the business, save for a few people who she doesn't mind burying. I thought Danger was spot on when talking about many of the WWE Divas. She referred to the "Stepford Diva look" at one point while talking about Beth Phoenix, who she feels stands out simply because she doesn't look like the typical WWE Diva.

Other highlights of her discussion of the WWE Divas include her discussion of Victoria. I remember when Victoria seemed like one of the better female in-ring workers several years back, but recently she hasn't been on television frequently. Danger mentions that she would like to see Victoria on the independent scene because she would be a good role model to young female wrestlers and would also put on some great matches.

When the topic of conversation turned to Shimmer, Danger talked about Molly Holly attending an event to sign autographs and how she was dismayed at the amount of injuries. One thing that's easy to forget is that although Shimmer puts out a quality product, the style of wrestling they put on is physically taxing, so perhaps it is a good thing that Shimmer runs a low number of events per year.

This shoot is long and towards the end of the second disc, Danger began talking about her time in ROH, which I was most interested in. She told some great stories about working with B.J. Whitmer, Dan Maff, and Christopher Daniels, but it's her words about C.M. Punk that are the highlight of the second disc. Regarding Punk's personality, Danger says he is "The most lovable asshole I've ever known." She also tells her version of a fantastic C.M. Punk story I've heard before about them getting pulled over by some cops on their way back home from the airport.

I give this shoot a solid recommendation. I really enjoyed listening to Danger give her perspective on the business. This isn't a short interview either at nearly 4 hours long, as SSP went in-depth and asked her a ton of questions. If you're a fan of Shimmer or ROH, you'll learn a lot from watching this shoot. There's also some interesting discussion for TNA and WWE fans out there as well.

Quick Shootin' With Allison Danger

If you've already decided to get a copy of FIGHT HARD! then you might be asking yourself do you really need to buy this DVD. Surely Allison must go over some of the ground covered there but the answer is that she doesn't and you really do need to get your hands on copies of both releases.

Quick Shootin' is more your traditional shoot interview DVD. This time around you get to hear the questions being asked and in a great Irish accent too and a fair share of the questions concentrate on Allison being asked about topics such as how WWE and TNA treat women's wrestling. There's a great segment when Allison tells us what would have to happen for a Bra & Panties match to ever take place in SHIMMER. Allison also talks about the large number of injuries she's suffered in her career and the worries she has about how that might affect her desire to have children in the future. There's advice for any women who want to make it in professional wrestling, we discover just who she'd tag with as "Monkeys In A Tree" and reveals who spoons her when they sleep in the same bed.

On a more serious matter Allison discusses the subject of custom matches. Although Allison admits she'd never ever take part in anything which is pornographic she admits that she has taken part in more respectable versions of the matches and can see why, in a business where there are fewer opportunities for women to make money, some women do take part in the more seedier side of the business.

One great aspect of this two-disc DVD is when she's asked to give her opinions on almost the entire SHIMMER roster one after the other, then onto women wrestlers in WWE, TNA and Europe (just what did she do to Kelly Adams' food on a visit to the UK?) and then onto the male side of the business as she looks back on her time in ROH particularly and the important part Christopher Daniels has played in her career.
